Problems...... Main Shaft bearing Blocks
I found this problem when making up the frames. There are 3 main mast bearing blocks and bearings, each made up of two halfs.
Two have 19mm dia bearings in and each half is marked with the letter 'A'.
one pair have 17mm bearing inside marked 'B' this one I had was fitted with one 'A' and one 'B' block thus
the bearing could move about !!
I needed to get this fitted in so I turned a 1mm ring, split it and used half as a spacer in the bigger block.
Here you can see the two parts, the RH bigger but bearing fits Ok.
I will be calling Robbe and ask for a new one to be sent, we shall see how quick that can be !
Good news !! After an e mail and a call from Robbe Uk I just had to fax over a copy of the
warranty slip that they pack into every kit. Next day a new set of bearing blocks came
into my letter box. That's service. Thanks Keith !
